Pattern development
Translating buyer sketches, specifications, blocks and reference samples into workable Gerber 2D patterns.
Expertise
A credible technical profile should distinguish demonstrated practice from developing knowledge. This page does exactly that.
Current practice
Translating buyer sketches, specifications, blocks and reference samples into workable Gerber 2D patterns.
Interpreting review comments, forming an adjustment hypothesis, modifying the pattern and validating the result through the sample cycle.
Production size-set grading, digital and manual checks, plus basic marker and solid-fabric consumption work.
Reading measurement charts and technical sketches, spotting missing information, and communicating technical questions clearly.
Using 3D simulation primarily as a pre-sample checking layer: draft the pattern, dress it on an avatar, review silhouette and visible pattern issues, then refine before final pattern release.
Buyer-facing email handling, technical reading, written follow-up and working English communication across speaking, listening and documentation.
CLO 3D
In many apparel workflows, CLO 3D is used heavily for buyer visualization and presentation. My current use is more pattern-focused.
I draft or prepare the pattern, bring it into CLO 3D, dress it on an avatar and inspect how the style is likely to read before the physical sample is finalized. When I receive a new design, tech pack or inspiration image, I use the simulation to understand the intended shape, proportion and visible pattern behaviour.
The purpose is not to claim that 3D replaces the sample. It is an additional checking layer before I commit to the pattern decision and release it for the next stage. My CLO 3D capability is still developing, so I present this as a practical validation workflow rather than advanced virtual-product expertise.
